How to access Virtual Lab?

  1. Visit https://www.utoledo.edu/it/VLab/ and click on vlab.utoledo.edu for academic virtual labs (like UT Open).
  2. You will be prompted to open VMware Horizon Client. Allow it to open the client and login with your UTAD credentials.
  3. Multiple virtual lab options will appear and you can choose the desired one.

Can I access the Virtual Lab and Desktop simultaneously?

Yes,

  1. Visit vlab.utoledo.edu and log in using UTAD credentials.
  2. A new tab will be opened in the same browser allowing access to the virtual lab.

How to access files from the Desktop in the Virtual Lab?

  1. In the VLab, go to MyFiles.
  2. Navigate to Network locations and double-click on 'Y Drive'.
  3. This drive contains all the data stored on the original computer.

For small-sized documents and files you can also:

  1. When on a local desktop, save files to your OneDrive or Google Drive.
  2. Go to the VLab and login to your Drive location.
  3. Download the files and access them.
